Welcome to Mermaid Guest House

The name "Mermaid" is derived from the Dutch slave ship "Meermin" which suffered from a mutiny by its slave passengers and eventually ran aground off the coast of Struisbaai in 1766.

Our guesthouse is situated in the picturesque town of Struisbaai, almost at the tip of Africa and very close to the site where the "Meermin" ran aground 243 years ago.

We offer our guests with all the hospitality of the Overberg.

Mermaid Guest House offers single, double, twin and family accommodation in Stuisbaai and is fully equipped with every necessary amenity, facilities and services to make your stay at our guesthouse an unforgettable experience.

Your hosts, Andre and Asthore are active members of the Overberg community, and both are avid outdoors people with lots of knowledge and information about Struisbaai and this beautiful region of South Africa.

We look forward to meet you and make your stay in Struisbaai special.
